Short version: katchiGRAB is free, what you capture is yours and your responsibility, shared links expire by design, and the service is provided as is.

The service

katchiGRAB is a free, browser-based screen capture tool published by katchimedia, llc under its KATCHI APPS products division. By using katchigrab.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.

Your content

Everything you capture, mark up, record, or share belongs to you. Because shared links are encrypted on your device and katchimedia cannot read them, you alone are responsible for what you capture and share — including having the right to capture it and share it. By creating a share link, you grant katchimedia the limited permission needed to store and deliver the encrypted file until it expires, and nothing more.

Acceptable use

Don't use katchiGRAB to violate the law or the rights of others, to share content that is illegal or that you have no right to distribute, or to interfere with the service — including probing, overloading, or circumventing its abuse protections and rate limits. katchimedia may expire shared links, throttle the share service, or suspend it entirely at any time to protect the service or comply with the law.

Links expire by design

Self-destructing links are the product, not a defect: shared files are deleted at 24 hours, 1 hour, or the first view, whichever was chosen, and cannot be recovered afterward — by you or by katchimedia. Keep your own local copies of anything you need to keep; every share leaves one on your device.

Support payments

Support payments ("coffees") are voluntary, are processed by Stripe, do not purchase goods, services, features, or support obligations, and are not refundable. They do not make katchiGRAB any less free for anyone else.

Intellectual property

katchiGRAB™ is a trademark of katchimedia, llc. katchiGRAB, KATCHI APPS, katchimedia, and the katchiGRAB hand mark and design are the property of katchimedia, llc. These terms don't grant you rights to use them outside of using the service.

No warranty; limitation of liability

katchiGRAB is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The service may change, pause, or end at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, katchimedia, llc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost content — including expired share links — arising from your use of the service; and its total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to support katchiGRAB in the twelve months before the claim or ten US dollars.

Governing law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use means acceptance. Questions are welcome through katchimedia.com.
